Parc du Banco Abidjan

I love to think of myself as an outside child. The fresh air, the tranquility, the absence of human activity just set my soul on fire. I especially love trees and was so excited to go visit the Parc du Banco, a national park in Abidjan, the capital city of la Côte d’Ivoire. The national park is both a conservation and recreation site.

Banco is 30 km2 and during my 3 years living in Abidjan, I was amused that it was called a park because every time I drove past, I only saw a little bit of it from the highway. Well, visiting the park shut me up really quick because it was actually quite massive and we had to drive through to see different parts of it, fortunately, we had an amazing guide.
