COVID19 Lockdown Series Week 2: Gift

Friday 1st May

Inspiration: This week was particularly rough for me so I was feeling very discouraged and beating myself down. I found myself thinking more about how things would have turned out without the pandemic and mourning for the loss of what could have been. But then a random thought popped into my head that “the present is a gift” and I chose to focus on that thought instead of going down the rabbit hole of should have, could have, would haves. Luckily I had some wrapping paper left over from Christmas time.

Process:

Step 1: Get wrapping paper.

Step 2: Get basic white paper for the gift note.

I don’t have plain white paper at home so I just use the back of paper from a ruled notebook.

Step 3: Write the gift note to stick on wrapping paper.

I guess these are the three occasions that came to my mind as times when people receive gifts. My apologies to events such as graduations that felt left out.

Step 4: Cut space for my head in the wrapping paper.

I actually wanted to wear the paper as a wrap-around dress but then the paper ripped so I had to improvise.

Step 5: Get dressed and dance.
